Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi meets with the Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. During the meeting, issues of mutual interest, including bilateral relations and the promotion of bilateral economic cooperation, were discussed. The Foreign Minister conveyed the best wishes of Prime Minister Imran Khan and the Pakistani leadership to the leadership and people of the United Arab Emirates.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates have deep bilateral brotherly relations based on religious, historical and cultural foundations.
He sought to further strengthen his brotherly bilateral relations with the United Arab Emirates through the promotion of bilateral trade and economic cooperation in multilateral fields.
Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that millions of Pakistanis living in the UAE have been playing their full role in the construction and development of the UAE for the past several decades. He said that the exhibition (Expo 2020) to be held in Dubai next year would showcase the decades-old friendship between the Pakistani pavilion, Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates. The two sides agreed to enhance cooperation in the field of agriculture between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates.
The Foreign Minister apprised Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum of the difficulties faced by Pakistanis living in the UAE and stressed the need for their speedy resolution.
