President Erdogan has said that the French resolution on Karabakh is a complete disaster. Speaking at an event in Istanbul, he said France is the chairman of the Minsk Group of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) and such a resolution in the French parliament is in fact a huge scandal.
The French parliament passed a resolution on Friday recognizing Karabakh as an independent state.
President Erdogan said that Azerbaijan did not attack itself or invade any country. Azerbaijan has fought only in its occupied territories. Areas occupied by Armenia for the last 30 years.
Azerbaijan has taken all steps in accordance with international law. As Armenia targeted innocent civilians, Azerbaijan did not attack a single Armenian citizen.
On the resolution of the French Parliament, President Erdogan said that attacking the sovereignty of any country is not acceptable.
He called on the international community to take serious note of France's move, saying it would jeopardize the sovereignty and independence of many countries. President Erdogan said that Europe will suffer the most from this policy as the current political alliance of Europe is a time of great bloodshed and great struggle.
