Prime Minister Imran Khan termed the positive developments in the field of large scale manufacturing as very welcome for the economy and said that the fruits of economic recovery should reach the common man as soon as possible.
The meeting was chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan and was attended by Federal Ministers Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Makhdoom Khusro Bakhtiar, Muhammad Hammad Azhar, Finance Advisor Dr Abdul Hafeez Sheikh, Dr Ishrat Hussain and Special Assistant Dr Waqar Masood. The state of the country's economy was discussed at the meeting. Prime Minister Imran Khan appreciated the efforts of the economic team in terms of economic discipline and better management of the country's debt. The Prime Minister welcomed the positive developments in the large scale manufacturing sector for the economy. The meeting discussed in detail the potential impact on the economy in the wake of the second wave of Corona and the sponsorship program to provide protection to the poor. Expressing satisfaction over the state of improvement and stability in the country's economy, the Prime Minister stressed that the fruits of economic recovery should reach the common man as soon as possible. The Prime Minister said that the strategy adopted by the government against Corona was not only appreciated globally but the Pakistani economy was emerging the fastest in the region thanks to the integrated strategy of the economic team.
