PDM's Peshawar meeting, NICTA issues threat alert

 

PDM's meeting in Peshawar on November 22, NICTA issued a threat alert.

According to private TV, a letter sent by NICTA to the concerned agencies, pointing out the possible threat of terrorism, said that the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) was planning a terrorist operation in Peshawar on November 22, the alert said. It has been said that the target of the Hashtgars may be the PDM meeting. According to sources, NICTA has issued letters to the concerned agencies to tighten security in Peshawar. On the other hand, the district administration of Peshawar has also refused to allow the opposition to hold a meeting, saying that in view of the situation in Corona. The DMK cannot be allowed to hold a rally while the provincial leaders of the opposition alliance PDM have said that the rally will be held in Peshawar in any case, the government is creating an atmosphere of confrontation, it has to deal with those who abuse their power.

Explosives from Balochistan were feared to be used in Quetta and KP. Suicide attacks and bomb blasts could also be carried out in Quetta and Peshawar. NICTA informed the Chief Secretaries of Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir about the measures.
