Leading Bollywood filmmaker Feroz Nadiadwala's wife was today arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in a drug case.
According to Indian media reports, Shabnam Saeed, wife of film producer Feroz Nadiadwala, was today arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) along with drugs and a stockpile of drugs was recovered from her possession.
The agency seized drugs from the house of Bollywood producer Feroz Nadiadwala during raids at five locations in and around Mumbai during the ongoing operation by the NCB after the drug angle came to light in the actor Shashant Singh Rajput suicide case After which his wife Shabnam Syed was also arrested.
The NCB claimed to have seized drugs worth more than Rs 300,000 from Shabnam's possession, including 717 grams of cannabis, 74 grams of cannabis and 95 grams of MD. The NCB has so far questioned several famous actresses in Bollywood regarding drugs.
These famous actresses include Shardha Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Rakul Preet Singh and Sara Ali Khan.
According to media reports, the Narcotics Control Bureau raided the homes of several Bollywood directors and producers in Mumbai on Saturday night.
According to NCB sources, drugs have also been recovered from the homes of some directors and producers. Many of the drug peddlers arrested by the NCB team in this case have also confessed to supplying drugs to Bollywood.
The NCB is prosecuting on the basis of the statement of these drug peddlers. The NCB team has also arrested four other people along with a drug peddler named Ismail Sheikh.
The NCB has seized large quantities of drugs from him.
