The Chinese corona vaccine 'Synovik' is waiting for the Saudi green signal. It will be given to Saudi patients after undergoing the third phase of the clinical trial, but requires approval from the Saudi Food and Drug Authority.
According to Arab News, King Abdullah International Medical Research Center (KAMRC) has signed an agreement with Chinese Synovik Biotech, under which 7,000 health workers will receive the corona vaccine.
The vaccine has passed the third phase of clinical trials at the King Abdullah Center for National Guard.
Arif al-Amiri, head of the department at the Riyadh Regional Laboratory, said: "The people who have been tested for the vaccine have no health complications or allergic reactions other than fever or mild migraine and this is a vaccine against any virus. It is normal to use.
It may be recalled that the total number of corona virus cases in Saudi Arabia has reached 346,880 while 333,409 people have recovered.
