The United States has imposed sanctions on six more Chinese media outlets

 

The United States has tightened rules on six more Chinese media organizations, saying they are propaganda outlets accountable to the state.

This was the third round of US sanctions on Chinese outlets as "foreign missions", requiring them to provide details and real details of their US-based staff. Report to the State Department regarding e-State transactions.

It should be noted that these 6 new organizations added as foreign missions include Yi Kai Global, Ji Feng Daily, Shin Min Evening News, Social Sciences in China Press, Beijing Review and Economic Daily.

Earlier, the State Department applied the law to nine leading organizations, including the Geneva News Agency and the China Global Television Network.

China, meanwhile, condemned the regulations and responded by evicting Americans working for major news organizations, including the New York Times, the Washington Post and the Wall Street Journal.

On the other hand, some media rights advocates, while acknowledging that Chinese institutions are doing business for the state, expressed concern over the US move, saying that it gives Beijing an opportunity to expel journalists who have violated human rights.
