Prime Minister Imran Khan's efforts paid off, with G20 countries extending loan repayments for poor countries by six months.
According to a private channel, the G20 countries have announced a six-month extension in loan repayments for poor and developing countries. The G20 finance ministers and central bank governors have met in Riyadh, at which the G20 has decided to extend the loan repayment concession for poor countries by six months. The G20 has announced it will freeze debt owed to poor and developing countries for another six months. The decision to extend the loan repayment concession by six months was announced by Saudi Finance Minister Mohammed al-Jadan.
It is to be noted that Prime Minister Imran Khan has repeatedly said in his speech that due to Corona, the economy of poor countries has been severely hit, G20 countries should announce concession in repayment of their loans....
