Prime Minister Imran Khan has approved the establishment of 120 new accountability courts in Islamabad. The Prime Minister also approved the setting up of special courts to hear cases of abuse.
According to private TV, a spokesman for the Law Ministry said that Prime Minister Imran Khan had approved the establishment of 120 new accountability courts to eradicate corruption. According to a law ministry spokesman, 30 new accountability courts will be set up in Islamabad in the first phase. Prime Minister Imran Khan has directed the Ministry of Finance and Establishment Division to extend cooperation. The Prime Minister also directed immediate formation of posts and provision of funds.
Prime Minister Imran Khan has also approved the setting up of special courts for abuse cases. The Prime Minister directed the Ministry of Law to submit a comprehensive plan after consultation. The new special courts will hear cases of abuse. New courts are being set up in stages due to financial constraints.
It may be recalled that the Supreme Court had directed the government to set up 120 new accountability courts.
