Order for hearing of corruption cases on daily basis
The Supreme Court of Pakistan has ordered the hearing of corruption cases on a daily basis.
The Supreme Court of Pakistan has issued this order in the Lakhra Power Plant Irregularity case.
The Supreme Court in its order said that the process of recording evidence should be expedited and completed as soon as possible.
The apex court also directed the accountability courts to decide cases as soon as possible and not to adjourn cases.
The Supreme Court has directed the Chairman NAB to ensure implementation of court orders while directing the Prosecutor General NAB to ensure the presence of prosecution witnesses.

The apex court has directed the accountability court in Karachi to decide the Lakhra power plant case within a week and said that the statements of the prosecution and the witnesses of the accused should be recorded by November 2.
The court also sought an implementation report from the Registrar Accountability Court Karachi.
