National T20 Cup, Azam Khan's outstanding batting

 

Azam Khan, a 22-year-old middle-order batsman, hit sixes at the Pindi Cricket Stadium to take Sindh to the semi-finals of the National T20 Cup. Sindh defeated Northern by 25 runs for the fourth consecutive victory in the event.

In the pursuit of 222 runs, the Northern team managed to score only 196 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Zeeshan Malik and Amrameen remained prominent by scoring 61 and 51 runs respectively. Both the players gave Northern an early start of 116 runs. Muhammad Hasnain of Sindh took 3 wickets. Earlier, Imad Waseem won the toss and elected to field first. The 22-year-old batsman scored 88 off 43 balls with the help of 8 sixes and 5 fours. He along with captain Sarfraz Ahmed added 130 runs for the fourth wicket to help the team cross the 200 mark. Sarfraz Ahmed played an unbeaten innings of 52 off 28 balls with the help of 3 sixes and 3 fours. Sindh scored 221 for 4 in the allotted 20 overs thanks to Danish Aziz's unbeaten 10 runs.
