Meghan and Harry plan to come to the UK, the Queen cancels all celebrations

Britain's Queen Elizabeth II has canceled all major events at Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle for the rest of this year (2020) in the wake of the global corona virus outbreak.

However, some sources said that the announcement was made following reports that Prince Harry and his wife intend to visit the family in the UK before Christmas.

The Royal Palace said in a statement that in accordance with current government guidelines and as a precaution in the current situation, no major events will be held at Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle for the rest of this year.

Various possibilities were also considered in this regard that an award ceremony could be held in the palace as per the guidelines, but it is unfortunate that a large number of guests would have gathered to attend such an event. In this case, the precautionary measures and security issues are difficult to implement in the current situation.

Therefore, the recipients of the post or award will contact directly. The Queen intends to return to Windsor Castle in October and begin using it for meetings and engagements at Buckingham Palace in the fall, in accordance with all relevant guidelines and advice.

The announcement came days after reports that Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, and Meghan Markle, the Duchess, were planning to visit Britain before Christmas.
