After a DNA match with the king, the ordinary woman became a princess

A court in the European country of Belgium has named a female artist a princess after matching her DNA with the former king.

The woman's DNA matched that of former King Albert II in January this year, after which he recognized her as his daughter.

Earlier, he had refused to recognize the woman as his daughter for several years.

The 52-year-old Dolphin Boyle, who was adopted by former Belgian King Albert II, has filed a lawsuit against the king since 2013.

Dolphin Boyle initially claimed in 1999 that she was the illegitimate daughter of King Albert II.

Dolphin Boyle made the claim when the biography of the king's wife, Princess Paula, appeared in 1999, in which she mentioned her husband's love affairs.

Princess Paula said in the book that her husband had illicit sex with a beautiful woman before 1960, which resulted in the birth of a baby girl.

Although Princess Paula did not mention Delphine Boyle in the book, she appeared after the book came out and claimed that the king had sex with her mother and that she was born because of that relationship. Were

Delphine Boyle's mother later married an industrialist and was raised there.

Delphien Boyle began her career as an artist after completing her higher education and is considered one of the most famous female artists in Belgium.

Although no progress was made on Delphien Boyle's claims until the initial decade, they filed a lawsuit against the king after he ascended the throne in 2013, as he was granted immunity from the throne did not get.

Significant progress was made in the seven-year legal proceedings earlier this year when King and Delphine Boyle's DNA matched.

After the DNA match, the king recognized Delphine Boyle as his physical daughter and now the court has given the woman the royal honor in a landmark decision in the same case.

According to the news agency Reuters, the Belgian Court of Appeal awarded the title of 'Princess of Belgium' to 52-year-old Delphine Boyle.

After being awarded the royal honor by the court, now both the children of the female artist will also be given the royal honor.

At the same time, the woman will be given royal honors like the other three real children of the king, but she will not legally receive extra wealth from the royal estate.

In this regard, the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) said that although Dolphin Boyle, who won the court battle, became a princess, she would not get extra money.

The report said the former king would be obliged to pay his illegitimate daughter a maximum of 31 3.1 million, which would cover the cost of fighting a legal battle over seven years.

Apart from the said amount, the woman will not get any extra money, however, if the king as a father wants to give her something moral, there will be no restriction on it.

Expressing satisfaction over the verdict, the woman said that although the verdict was not a substitute for her father's love, the verdict would bring her peace and relief.

It should be noted that in Belgium, the king has a symbolic status, the royal family and the king do not interfere in the affairs of government and state, but the government and the state have special funds for the royal family and the decisions of the royal family are given importance.
