The Bangladeshi government has decided to execute the perpetrators of rape while kneeling before a protest movement.
According to the international news agency, protests continue in Bangladesh after the recent rape of a woman. The protest came after a video was shared on social media in which a woman was raped.
Following the ongoing protests in the country, the cabinet meeting has decided to give the death penalty to the rapist, after which the law will be implemented in the country soon.
The protesters also criticized Prime Minister Hasina Wajid for never taking practical steps to stop the affair, while some protesters were so angry that they even demanded the resignation of the Prime Minister.
In this regard, human rights activists in Dhaka say that very few victims of sexual abuse get justice and most women do not report out of fear. More than a thousand rapes have been reported in Bangladesh this year, the fifth being gang-rape.
