The acquittal of the accused in the Babri Masjid demolition case drew a strong response from Jamiat Ulema Maharashtra.
According to Indian media reports, Jamiat Ulema Maharashtra secretary Gulzam Azmi reacted strongly to the acquittal of all the accused in the Babri Masjid demolition case in a special CBI court today, saying that minorities would no longer get justice in the country.
He said that all the witnesses in Babri Masjid demolition case are present but it was said in the court today that no evidence was found, we think today is the darkest day in Indian history, now minorities in this country will not get justice. They are forced to understand.
Gulzam Azmi said that despite all the evidence, he was acquitted while all the broadcasters were playing pictures and videos at that time.
The secretary of Jamiat Ulema Maharashtra said that those who martyred the mosque are in power.
It may be recalled that the Babri Masjid was martyred in 1992 in which Lal Krishna Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi, Uma Bharti, Vineet Katiyar and Kalyan Singh were allegedly involved. The accused was acquitted by a special CBI court today citing lack of evidence.
