PTCL is second to none in collecting money for substandard services, but now looting has also started in the name of routers. Rs 2,500 is being charged for the router, although the routers provided by the company are also of very poor quality and much better quality routers are available in the market at a lower price.

In this regard, when the representative of the company was contacted through the helpline 1218, he said that in the past, routers were replaced without any charges, but now the company has changed its policy under which the router is changed. The charges will also have to be paid by the users and even after paying the full price, the router will remain the property of the company which will have to be refunded to the company in case of disconnection and when they are asked to pay the full price. Why would the router still be owned by the company? So he failed to give any meaningful answer and just said that this is the policy of the company.

Interestingly, even after paying the price of the router to the company, the ownership remains with the company and consumers are forced to wonder why they do not own the router even after paying the full price. Consumers are urging the government and concerned agencies to take notice of PTCL's unbridled and consumerist policies and play a role in stopping looting and removing this additional burden on consumers. Standards should be made so that the bills paid in internet every month can be paid in real sense.

Not only is the market for looting hot by PTCL, but it is also second to none in inflicting mental anguish on consumers who are not given a lift when they complain about internet services and even complain without doing anything.
