A 12-year-old boy's feat that even great scientists can't do

It's hard to believe, but a 12-year-old boy did something that has made scientists around the world hold their heads high.

Yes, at just 12 years old, Jacques Oswalt, an American boy, succeeded in building a nuclear fusion reactor in a room of his house and his name has now become part of the Guinness Book of World Records.

The 15-year-old from Memphis, USA, is the youngest person to build an active nuclear reactor.

The machine was made from customized vacuums, pumps and chambers, which the boy bought from eBay and cost a total of $ 10,000.

Its machine compresses the atoms with such force that energy is released and trapped inside the atom.

The boy learned the details of the machine from the Internet and succeeded in building a nuclear reactor in January 2018 on his 13th birthday.

The youngest person to ever build a nuclear reactor before that was 14-year-old Taylor Wilson.

Jackson Oswalt said he started building it when he learned how other people had succeeded in building a fusion reactor.

He said that after knowing all this, he bought parts from eBay and then connected them and succeeded in it.

"I was able to use electricity by accelerating two atoms, which heated the water and started a steam engine, which generated electricity."

His name has become part of the Guinness Book of World Records 2021 and the future of this young scientist looks bright.
