Very interesting reason of immediate marriage of Meghan and Harry

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry tied the knot just a few months after their first meeting in 2018, and the news of their engagement was shocking news for everyone, as it was about their romance. Nobody knew anything before.

Even after this royal wedding, many people thought that the ceremony was held in a hurry. In an interview with the BBC about their fast-paced love and marriage, Meghan and Prince Harry explained the reasons behind it.

Meghan revealed on the occasion that in terms of our relationship, I would not call it a matter of lightning speed. Of course it was kept secret in a certain way and when it was decided how to make it public we had spent six months in it, it was all amazing.

"I think we had enough time to meet," he said. It never happened that we didn't see each other for more than two weeks, even though our relationship was far apart.

So this is the case that made it all seem so fast. However, the reason for Meghan and Harry's early marriage was the issue of the former's citizenship.

Jason Knopf, Prince Harry's communications secretary, told the BBC that Meghan had been denied any special privileges when she applied for British citizenship. And the whole procedure required that they have to obtain a visa to stay in the UK in order to apply for citizenship.

In addition, it was important for both of them to get married within six months so that Meghan could be eligible for a visa.
