The US President himself forgot the deadline for the sale of Tik Tok

US President Donald Trump issued an order on August 6 giving Chinese social media app Tik Tok 45 days to sell its US operations, otherwise it would be banned. Will be

However, on August 16, the Trump administration extended the deadline by another 45 days.

A new order issued by the US president on August 16, citing national security concerns, instructed Byte Dance to sell its business in the United States to a US company within the next 90 days.

But it seems that the US President himself does not remember or does not know how long the talk has been given.

Speaking to reporters this week, the US president said, "Either we will close Tik Tok in our country for security reasons or it will be sold."

When asked if there was a possibility of extending the deadline given to Tik Tok, he replied, "I am not extending the deadline. No, it is September 15. There will be no extension."

But the response was surprising because Donald Trump has already extended the original deadline and the fact that the actual date or extension date does not become September 15.

As noted above, the first order was issued on August 6, instructing Bite Dance (a company owned by Tik Tak) for security reasons that the social media app should be available to any American within 45 days. To be sold to the company.

So in the order issued on August 6, the time given to the company seems to end on September 20 instead of September 15.

But the US president referred to the date of issuing the order as September 15. "I have set a date around September 15, when they will have to close their business in the United States," he said.

However, the order issued on August 16 extended the deadline to sell the company from 45 days to 90 days or November.

In other words, there are about 2 months left in this deadline, but it is also possible that the US President has decided to ban talk talk on the morning of September 15, even if he cannot do so.

By the way, Tik Tok has filed a lawsuit against the US measures and legal experts have raised the question whether the US government can ban the app or not.

On the other hand, China has indicated that it will make every effort to sell Tik Tok
