The spread of a mysterious virus in Zimbabwe has led to an increase in deaths of other animals after elephants.

According to international media reports, a virus is spreading in Zimbabwe due to the sudden death of elephants, doctors are still unable to diagnose the disease.

According to the report, after the elephants, the virus has started spreading to other animals as a result of which 12 animals have died so far while more than 34 elephants have died since August.

The director of the Zimbabwe National Park and Wildlife Management Authority said that 34 cases have been reported so far, while we fear that the number of infected animals is much higher.

"The first case was reported on August 24. The death of animals in a month is a matter of concern to us because the death of animals is happening so fast that it seems impossible to stop it," he said.

"So far, doctors have come to the conclusion that this is a bacterium that used to live in elephants and is now spreading to other animals," he said.
