Opposition announces to start anti-government movement from Quetta

 
The Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), an alliance of opposition parties, has announced that it will launch an anti-government movement in Quetta, where the first meeting will be held on October 11.

After the first meeting of the steering committee of opposition parties in Islamabad, former prime ministers Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Raja Pervez Ashraf, Senators Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri and Ahsan Iqbal spoke to the media and condemned the arrest of opposition leader Shahbaz Sharif.

 Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that the organizational structure of the PDM has been finalized, which will be finalized by the leaders.

He said that the meeting discussed the restoration of democracy and alleviation of people's sufferings and condemned the deprivation of democratic rights in the country.

Shahid Khaqan Abbasi further said that public issues were discussed in the meeting, there is a flood of inflation in the country, unemployment is increasing, today the economy of the country has been destroyed and the people are worried.

He said that PDM movement would be launched all over the country, the first meeting in this regard would be held on October 11 in Quetta, all political parties agreed on these decisions.

During the talk, Raja Pervez Ashraf said that the arrest of opposition leader Shahbaz Sharif would weaken democracy, the government's move is regrettable and worrying for all.

He further said that such tactics would weaken democracy and increase the anger of the people. The ministers issue the same writ. We have arrested so many slaves.

The former prime minister also said that the independent status of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has been exposed while inflation and unemployment have broken the backs of the people, the opposition will hold rallies in all the provinces.

Abdul Ghafoor Haideri, senior leader of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F), said that the opposition movement would continue till the end of the elected government. GDP was also zero in the budget given by the government.

Ahsan Iqbal said that the parliament is being run by remote control, this is the first time in 30 years of democracy, PDM is the voice of every school of thought and walks of life.

"We will finalize the public relations campaign from October to December. We stand for the rule of law, an independent judiciary and the protection of public rights," he said.

The PML-N leader further said that this government has attacked democracy and economic democracy by creating political chaos, depriving the weak man of his right to live.
