According to police, the abductee was identified as 5-year-old Marwa daughter of Omar Sadiq. The victim was a resident of Pir Bukhari Colony Block A in the same area. The victim has a younger brother while his father drives a rickshaw. Omar Sadiq, the father of the victim, said that Marwa had gone to the shop near her house at around 7 am on Friday morning to fetch the item. The shopkeeper said that Marwa had taken the item from him but he did not know where she had gone. It was known everywhere and even after announcing it in the mosques of the area, the girl was not found out. The girl's father had registered a case of kidnapping of Kimsan Marwa by the PEB Colony police while posters of Marwa's disappearance were put up in his area and other surrounding areas including Gulshan-e-Iqbal.
Between Saturday and Sunday night, a body was found on the ground floor of the old Malik plant behind the Mekasa apartment at the behest of a man. The victim's family and area residents identified Marwa by her adorned green shalwar. The girl's body was burnt.
