Army Chief General L Qamar Javed Bajwa has said that in the case of Fifth Generation or Hybrid War, a challenge has been imposed on us. This day reminds us that we had defeated an enemy many times bigger than us and we are always ready to defeat it even today. Today we are protecting our freedom with our blood. The Pakistan Army considers the protection and service of its nation as a very sacred duty. Love for the Pakistani nation is part of our faith. No enemy can defeat this love of ours. Peace is Pakistan, we have to turn this peace into prosperity, as a nation we have to struggle for it, we have to adopt the principles of unity, faith and organization, we have to follow the dictates of our leader, work, work and just work.

A military awards ceremony was held at GHQ. Addressing the gathering, Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa greeted the esteemed families of the martyrs and other esteemed audience before beginning his speech. He said that the day of September 6, 1965 is an eternal chapter of our history, it is the day when countless stories of unity and patriotism and bravery of the nation came to fruition. Yes, this day is celebrated in memory of our martyrs, this day reminds us that we defeated an enemy many times bigger than us and even today we are always ready to defeat, even today we protect our freedom. That is why we are here today to remember the great deeds of our martyrs and conquerors and to pay tribute to their sacrifices.

"Thanks to their sacrifices and courage, our freedom, sovereignty, peace and security have been established. The families of the martyrs are before me. I salute them. I assure them that we will continue to sacrifice their loved ones," he said. Will never forget The Army Chief also saluted the families of the martyrs during his speech. "Our martyrs are our heroes. The nations that forget their heroes are gone. I salute your spirit. We are with you at every step and will remain, as the martyrs are the pride of the whole nation," he said. You are also our pride.
