Riya Chakraborty's brother is arrested

 

The Narcotics Control Bureau of India (NCB) has arrested Shovak Chakraborty, brother of actress Riya Chakraborty, while investigating the drug aspect of the Shashant Singh Rajput suicide case.

Actress Riya Chakraborty's house was searched by the NCB on Friday, during which her brother Shouk Chakraborty was arrested. Samuel Miranda, the house manager of the late Shashant Singh Rajput, has also been arrested in the same case. Both the accused will be produced in court on Saturday and their remand will be obtained.

It may be recalled that during the investigation into the suicide of Shashant Singh Rajput, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) got details of drug use from the WhatsApp chat of the late actor's girlfriend Riya Chakraborty, after which the NCB Was also included in the case.

 Sushant Singh Rajput's suicide case is currently being investigated by three central agencies in India. The CBI is looking into the reasons for the suicide in the case while the Enforcement Directorate (ED) is investigating money laundering and the NCB is investigating drug use in Bollywood.

It should also be noted that it was only when the issue of drug use came to light in the Sashant Singh Rajput case that it was revealed that there was an organized gang of drug smugglers and users in Bollywood, hence the scope of the NCB investigation. May be more extensive.
