Opposition will not cooperate with rubber stamp parliament, APC

At the Opposition's All Parties Conference (APC), all parties agreed to co-operate more with the parliament, Maulana Fazlur Rehman read out a 26-point statement stating that the opposition would no longer co-operate with this rubber-stamped parliament. ۔

The opposition APC has issued a four-page declaration, which was termed as a resolution of the all-party conference and said that a new political alliance of national political parties, the Pakistan Democratic Movement, has been formed.

The opposition has proposed a resolution that the coalition structure will organize a nationwide protest movement to get rid of the government, while there will be no compromise on the constitution, the 18th amendment and the current NFC award.

The resolution said that no fire will be allowed on the upper echelons of the parliament, political revenge and members arrested in false cases should be released, non-implementation of the National Action Plan is increasing the incidence of terrorism. The inexperienced government has put C-Pack in jeopardy.

The APC resolution demanded that elections be held in Gilgit-Baltistan without interference while the meeting ratified the APC resolution of the Pakistan Bar Council. The meeting condemned the abolition of local bodies in Punjab.

The APC meeting condemned the government's cuts in the higher education budget.

The resolution said that implementation of Aghaz-e-Haqooq Balochistan should be ensured while it was also decided to set up a committee to formulate the Charter of Pakistan.

The APC resolution called for the formation of a Truth Commission to finalize the true history of Pakistan from 1947 to date.

The All Parties Conference expressed grave concern over the complete failure of the government's Afghan policy while strongly condemning the false cases of political revenge against political leaders, leaders and activists. The meeting condemned the political leaders and activists arrested under false charges. Immediate release was demanded.

The meeting paid tribute to the courage and perseverance of political leaders including Khurshid Shah and Hamza Shahbaz.

The meeting decided to carry out immediate electoral reforms in the country, rejecting the nefarious intentions of introducing a presidential system in the country.

The resolution said that the elected government is responsible for the fall of Kashmir, the selected government has paralyzed the parliament by disregarding it.

The All Parties Conference called for the implementation of the National Action Plan and condemned the government's criminal negligence over the recent sectarian tensions.

It was stated in the APC meeting that legislation was being enacted against the constitutional basic human rights of the people while the opposition would not cooperate with the rubber stamp parliament from today.

The resolution said that unconstitutional, undemocratic, illegal laws against civil liberties should be repealed and the legislation passed by bulldozing the proceedings of the House should be withdrawn.

The APC resolution called for a new accountability law to be enacted in accordance with the Supreme Court's decision, the recommendations of the Islamic Ideological Council, and a Human Rights Watch report.

It was said in the all-party conference that the worst restrictions, pressure and government tactics in the history of media were strongly condemned.

The resolution called for the release of all arrested journalists and media persons, including Mir Shakeel-ur-Rehman, editor-in-chief of Jang Group and Geo TV.

 The APC resolution called for the judiciary, defense services, bureaucracy or members of parliament to be held accountable under a law and institution.
