Sohrab Goth police allegedly shot and wounded a young man who was returning from a meal with friends at a hotel on the Super Highway and then turned him into a dacoit and registered a case.

 Last night, motorcyclists who did not stop at the behest of the police on the Super Highway were pursued and allegedly opened fire. According to police, Humayun was injured in the retaliatory firing and was arrested along with his accomplice Shoaib.

According to SHO Sohrab Goth, Humayun sustained minor injuries. Police claimed that the arrested suspects had thrown their weapons while fleeing while a motorbike without number plate was recovered from their possession.

After the incident, 23-year-old injured youth Humayun Murtaza's accomplice reached the police station. He showed the police the food bill at Dua Hotel and also showed the pictures that he was returning after eating. Sohrab Goth police personnel, who were blocking the Super Highway, signaled to stop.

According to the youths, the policeman used to harass them and collect money during the search. Maybe that is why Humayun did not stop. On which the policemen started chasing him in his mobile and suddenly opened fire.

In a video statement recorded inside the police station, Humayun's friends said that when Humayun was injured, the police showed the incident as a police encounter to hide their negligence and show efficiency and registered a case. According to friends, Humayun has recently bought a new motorcycle which does not have a number plate yet. Friends have called the incident policing.

An attempt was made to contact SSP East Sajid Saduzai to know his position in this regard but he did not respond. Despite the claims of the arrested accused's friends, Sohrab police stands by their position.
