Jordanian army warehouse blast

A power outage at a Jordanian military warehouse caused a powerful explosion and flames on Friday morning, confirmed by Minister of State for Information Amjad al-Dila, who said the army's warehouse in the northern part of the city There were useless mortar shells. The incident took place on the outskirts of Zarqa city.

According to the army, the blast took place in an ammunition depot but no casualties were reported. The depot is far from the civilian population and there are reports that the blast was heard 30 km away.

Security forces cordoned off the area and all routes leading to the crash site so that civil defense personnel could easily reach and extinguish the fire, and a committee was set up to investigate. The army has instructed people not to listen to unverified reports and more details will be released later.
