According to Amnesty International, all of the bank's bank accounts in India have been frozen, while the Indian government has suspended the agency's work and research work, as well as expelling all staff from India.
Speaking to the British Broadcasting Corporation, Amnesty India Director Rajat Khosla said, "We are facing an extraordinary situation in India. Amnesty India has been subjected to highly organized attacks, bullying and harassment by the government."
Rajat Khosla said that these steps of the Indian government are due to work for human rights, the Indian government does not want to answer our questions about human rights in occupied Kashmir and the Delhi riots.
The Director of Amnesty India added that Amnesty India fully complies with all domestic and international legal requirements.
