The Lebanese prime minister has decided to resign, along with his cabinet, following a bomb blast in Beirut.
According to Al Jazeera TV, the Prime Minister of Lebanon Hassan Diab will address the nation and present his resignation. Three Lebanese cabinet ministers have resigned since the Beirut bombings.
The resignation of the Prime Minister comes at a time when the people of the country are deeply saddened by the horrific August 4 blast. A bomb blast near the northern city of Beirut has killed at least 200 people and injured 6,000 others.
Earlier, Lebanese Justice Minister Marie Claude Najam resigned on Monday. Finance Minister Ghazi Wazni had appeared in the cabinet meeting with his resignation but has suspended his resignation for some time.
Information Minister Manal Abdul Samad and Environment Minister resigned on Sunday. The Lebanese foreign minister announced his resignation a day after the bombing.
