Riya Chakraborty, the key accused in the alleged suicide of Bollywood actor Shashant Singh Rajput,
appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Friday. The ED had summoned Riya Chakraborty today for questioning in the money laundering case. Actress Riya Chakraborty is being questioned. Along with Riya Chakraborty, her brother and father are also present in the ED's office.
Riya Chakraborty had asked the ED to adjourn the hearing against her till the matter was heard in the Supreme Court, but the investigating agency rejected her appeal.
Riya's lawyer Satish Manishinde had said that his client had requested the ED to adjourn the hearing.
The ED had earlier on August 4 questioned Riya's chartered accountant Ratish Shah.
The investigating agency had on August 3 sought a reply from chartered accountant Sandeep Sridhar.
