It has been raining continuously in the minaret of Kerala and this has caused a major accident due to landslides. So far 15 people have died in the accident. Many tea plantation workers are trapped in it. According to local officials, the accident took place in Adoki district. Heavy rains have cut off communication from these areas. Twelve people have been rescued so far. About 80 people are said to live here.

The power line was affected due to continuous rains, disrupting telecommunication services in the area, officials said. Landslides have caused the homes of about ten workers to collapse. Police and fire brigade personnel are present at the spot and the district administration has also asked the hospitals to be ready to face any situation. The Meteorological Department has also issued a red alert in the area.

According to PTI, an NDRF team has reached the spot for relief and assistance. About 20 houses were damaged. Chief Minister Panarayi Vijayan said that he has approached the Indian Air Force to provide helicopter services in Rajmala for relief work.

Kerala Revenue Minister E Chandra Shekhar said there were about 82 people living in the three labor camps. "At the moment, nothing can be said about whether the workers were there at the time of the landslide," he said.
