On the second day of the sixth spell of monsoon across Sindh including Karachi, heavy rains along with strong winds disrupted the life system while 3 youths including a 10-year-old boy were killed in different accidents.

Rains continued in many parts of Sindh since last day due to which water entered houses in Hyderabad, Mirpur Khas, Tando Muhammad Khan, Sujawal and cotton and chilli crop in Umerkot was affected.

In Karachi, roads in various areas including Shadman, Landhi, Korangi, Malir, Defense, Ayesha Manzil, Nazimabad, Gulshan-e-Iqbal and Lyari began to offer views of the river.

On the other hand, drains and gutter bills fell in many areas, while drains in Nagan, PESH, nursery and adjoining areas entered the houses, which damaged the valuables of the residents and also submerged vehicles parked on the streets and roads. ۔

Offices and shops in the vicinity of Saddar, Tower, were also flooded, while 3 to 4 feet of water was standing in Surjani Town, North Karachi and surrounding areas, while Korangi Causeway Road was closed due to flooding in Malir River due to rains. ۔

Apart from this, rain water also entered the major hospitals of Karachi, Aga Khan, Zia-ud-Din (Nazimabad) due to which patients and their carers faced severe difficulties.

SSP East Sajid Amir Saduzai said that a landslide near Gulistan-e-Johar Munawar Chowrangi destroyed several vehicles and motorcycles.

He said there were no reports of injuries or deaths in the accident.

A 13-year-old boy died after falling into a pool of water near 500 Colony of Musharraf Colony area of ​​Karachi. Edhi's volunteers removed the body and shifted it to Murshid Hospital.

In another accident, 17-year-old Muhammad Asif was electrocuted in Haroonabad area of ​​Pak Colony.

Meanwhile, a 10-year-old boy was killed and his mother was injured when a wall of his house collapsed due to rain.

According to police officials, the injured woman was shifted to Jinnah Hospital for treatment while the body of the child was also taken to the hospital.

The Meteorological Department has issued a flood warning in Dadu district of Sindh.

According to the statement, heavy rains in the Ker Thar range could lead to floods in Dadu and adjoining areas in the next 24 to 36 hours.

The Meteorological Department requested the concerned departments to take precautionary measures against floods.

It started raining in Karachi early in the morning and the heaviest rainfall was recorded at PAF base Faisal.

The Meteorological Department released data on rainfall in Karachi from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm, according to which the highest PAF was 118 mm at Faisal Base, 77 mm at Saddar and 76.6 mm at Nazimabad. Gulshan-e-Hadid received 72 mm of rain.

The spokesperson said that in a very difficult situation, the management of K-Electric is in full touch with the concerned agencies. With the help of standing water drainage, K-Electric's teams can expedite the restoration of electricity.

In this regard, it was informed that power has been cut off in several areas of Malir since morning while long load shedding is still going on in Garden, Nazimabad, New Karachi, Sakhi Hassan, North Karachi and Gulshan-e-Hadid.

On the other hand, the spokesman of Electric had asked the people to be careful in case of rain and citizens should stay away from broken wires, electricity poles and PMTs.

The spokesman said that obtaining electricity from illegal sources was fatal and unsafe use of electrical appliances such as water motors in rain and standing water could lead to accidents.
