Petition registered against Marvi Sarmad on blasphemous tweet.

 

An application was filed in Lahore's Faisal Town police station for registration of a case against Marvi Sarmad for tweeting blasphemy on social media.

A petition filed in the police station by Qais Azeem through a lawyer said that Marvi Sarmad used blasphemous words against Jesus through social media.

The petition said that Marvi Sarmad's move hurt religious sentiments, so legal action should be taken against Marvi Sarmad. Police officials said that the petition has been received and action will be taken after reviewing the law.
