The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), investigating the drug angle in the case of the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, indicated that his girlfriend and main accused Riya Chakraborty (Rhea Chakraborty) did not collect blood and nail samples Have given. Apart from this, the NCB will work to locate the drug peddlers who allegedly provided drugs to Riya and this will be the main focus of the investigation.
Some of Riya's message chats revealed that she was in contact with people allegedly supplying drugs illegally and she allegedly contacted Sushant to deliver the drugs. Only after the drugs angle surfaced, along with the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED), now the NCB has also been involved in the investigation in Sushant's death.
In an interview, Riya also expressed her willingness to submit a sample of her blood to detect drug abuse, as noted earlier by her lawyer. A top NCB source said, "The presence of drugs in blood can never be detected after more than a week from a fresh sample. Blood sample testing is effective only if it is done within a week. The source said: 'It's been more than two months already. So the agency will not get anything from blood samples.

A drug angle surfaced in the case after Riya's alleged chat with Sushant's close friends Siddharth Pithani, Samuel Miranda, Jaya Saha and others. On behalf of Riya, lawyer Satish Maneshinde claimed that he never consumed drugs in his life and was also ready for a blood test. An NCB source said, "Our main focus is to identify the drug peddlers, suppliers and users who have provided these drugs to the people named in the case."
The source said that through peddlers, the agency will reach the main leader of the drugs suppliers. Earlier, a case was registered by NCB against Riya, her brother Shovik, talent manager Saha, Sushant's co-manager Shruti Modi and Goa-based hotelier Gaurav Arya under Section 20 (b) 28, 29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Act.
The ED had informed the NCB after WhatsApp messages surfaced between Riya and Shruti Modi, Miranda and Pithani, after which she registered a case. Sources in the NCB related to the investigation said that the agency prepared a list of 20 suspects, including Gaurav Arya, Sved Lohia, Kwan Entertainment partner Jaya Saha, former Bigg Boss contestants Ejaz Khan, Farrukh Batta and Bakul Chandani for supplying drugs in the case.

Sushant's sister Shweta Singh Kirti has also shared screenshots of last year's WhatsApp chat, where actress Riya and her brother Shovik are seen giving orders to someone like Douby. Douby is commonly called marijuana cigarette. The screenshots shared by Shweta are from a WhatsApp group named NIFW. There are many names in this group including Ayush, Anandi Siddharth Pithani, Samuel Miranda, Riya. In this chat, most of the people are being identified by their name, but whose mobile chat it is not known. Sharing a screenshot, Sushant's sister also demanded the arrest of those responsible for her brother's death.
