During the Army Chief's visit to Saudi Arabia, issues of mutual interest, including security cooperation, were discussed during a meeting with the country's Deputy Defense Minister.
According to Pakistan Army Public Relations (ISPR), Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa met with Saudi Deputy Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman.
Issues of mutual interest, including bilateral defense, security co-operation and the security situation in the region, were discussed during the meeting.
It is to be noted that Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa had arrived in Saudi Arabia on an official visit yesterday.
General Qamar Javed Bajwa arrived at the Pakistani embassy in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, to ease diplomatic tensions and restore relations between the two countries.
The army chief was accompanied by Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) chief General Faiz Hameed, military sources said.
The Army Chief was received by the Saudi Chief of General Staff, Major General Fayyaz bin Hamad Al-Rawili.
Later, his Saudi counterpart and Commander of the Saudi Joint Forces Lieutenant General (Staff) Fahd bin Turki Al Saud met with the Army Chief and his accompanying delegation.
He was also presented with the Guard of Honor at the Saudi Ministry of Defense.
