Saudi Arabia suffers major defeat in International Court of Justice, ruling in favor of Qatar

GENEVA: The International Court of Justice (ICJ) has reportedly ruled in favor of Doha in the case of the air blockade of Qatar.

According to the IRIB report, the UN Supreme Court on Tuesday rejected documents from Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt during the trial, ruling in Qatar's favor.

The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) also rejected the request of the countries besieging Qatar in 2018.

It is to be noted that some countries of the Persian Gulf, including the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt, led by Saudi Arabia, ended their diplomatic relations with Qatar in June 2017, suspending all their relations and banning the entry of Qatari citizens.

According to sources, the coalition also put pressure on Qatar to obey Saudi Arabia, but Qatar has made it clear that it will not bow to Saudi Arabia and will not compromise its national interests. Will not give priority
