Another example of the worst treatment of domestic workers came to light. In Rahim Yar Khan, three sisters not only tried to force a housemaid into prostitution but also called some men home to abuse her.
According to Dawn News, a woman resident of Abbasia Town (whose name has not been released) has lodged a First Information Report (FIR) No. 347/20 with the City-C Division Police stating that she was in Abbasia Town. She was working as a housemaid in a woman's house and had been living there for the past two years.
Meanwhile, her employer illegally detained her at home and did not even allow her to go home, according to the FIR. Punished, then called some men to the house who tried to rape her.
According to the plaintiff, on May 22, when she resisted the rape attempt, she was not only tortured but also had her head shaved.
The woman also alleged that her employer had not paid her for several months.
On Saturday night, the complainant managed to escape from her employer's house and expressed her concern to some neighbors who had brought her to the police to register a case against the accused.
Police spokesman Ahmed Cheema said the employer and his two sisters had been arrested after a case was registered against them, while police were looking for four other suspects.
He said that the arrested women have been sent to jail after receiving judicial remand from the concerned judicial magistrate.
