Delta flight dumps plane fuel on schools during emergency landing, many students affected

The American passenger plane dumps plane fuel on several schools during an emergency landing, affecting 60 people, including students.

According to the British Broadcasting Agency, the American passenger plane made an emergency landing at Los Angeles International Airport, during which the plane fired oil that landed at several schools.

According to British media, at least 60 people were affected by the oil discharge from the plane, most of them schoolchildren, while the oil spill caused irritation to their skin and severe breathing problems.

The American Airlines flew back to the airport due to engine malfunction and made an emergency landing while the plane's oil dropped to about 6 local schools, resulting in medical help for the injured. And the nature of their injuries are minor.

When the oil dropped at Park Elementary School, 16 miles from Los Angeles Airport, two classes were located in the school's backyard.

The American Airlines confirmed the incident, saying that the passenger plane discharged oil to reduce the weight of the ship during an emergency landing.

A spokesman for the US Federal Aviation Administration said the investigation into the incident has been initiated and the cause is being reviewed.

The spokesman said that there is a special mechanism for the ejection of aircraft oil at the time of the emergency landing, which is being operated inside and outside the major US airports. In case of an emergency, the oil is emitted before it can land on the ship.
