Now, instead of clapping, hands will flutter.

Oxford University students voted in favor of 'quietly shaking the air' by changing the 'clapping process' after which the administration approved their proposal.

Students say clapping causes noise and discomfort, and that is why it was suggested to quietly shake hands in place of clapping.

Following the first meeting of this year, University Students' Union officials approved the proposal, urging students to quietly shake hands.

Now, in addition to the ceremonies organized by the Students 'Union of the University, other societies' events will also be held quietly in the air instead of the claps.

Oxford University students say many universities and institutes have alternatives to clapping.

On the other hand, the proposal was also approved at the University of Manchester last year.

To be clear, the process of shaking hands in the air is called 'Jazz Hands' in the UK, which is used by British people to express their feelings of happiness in the 'Sign Language' and is considered very comprehensive. Another reason for following this suggestion is that applause also causes troubles.
