Protests intensified in Iraq, after which offices and
businesses have stalled, with protesters calling for new elections in the
country.
The capital's highways were also blocked, and a large number
of students have joined the streets. Engineers, doctors and lawyers have also
supported the demonstration. Anti-government protests are intensifying in other
cities, including Baghdad.
Protesters have launched a new campaign of civil
disobedience and closed all public offices and business centers. Protesters
also called for new elections in the country.
