If Pakistan-India nuclear war takes place, the world will starve: US experts
After a careful study, US experts have warned that if
Pak-India nuclear war, it will not only kill tens of millions of people in the
sub-continent but also threaten drought and famine around the world, which
affects a large part of the global population. Will bring death toll.
This latest research, published online in the American
journal "Science Advances", is jointly conducted by experts from
several institutions, including the University of Colorado, Boulder's various
departments and research centers, the National Center for Atmospheric Research,
Rutgers.
Experts from the University, the Federation of American Scientists,
the Natural Resources Defense Council, the University of Texas Rio Grande
Valley, and the University of California, Los Angeles.
The study says India and Pakistan can have 400 to 500
nuclear weapons, the explosive force of each being from 12 to 45 kilotons TNT
to hundreds of kilotons.
In case of war, 100 atomic bombs were dropped by India on
the urban areas of Pakistan and 150 atomic bombs were dropped by Pakistan on
Indian population, resulting in the death toll of 5 million within a week.
12
million can reach 50 million (50 million to 125 million), which will be more
than the total number of casualties in World War II, lasting six years.
The number of US atomic bombs killed in the Japanese cities
of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945 is estimated to be between 100,000 and
200,000 to 255,000. That is, the casualties resulting from the Pak-India
nuclear war can be as high as 22 times to 227 times higher than Hiroshima and
Nagasaki!
But this will not only end here, but the effects of these
nuclear explosions will continue for a long time and will adversely affect not
only the subcontinent but also the environment around the world.
Due to the fiery smoke emitted following nuclear explosions,
1600 billion grams to 3600 billion grams of black carbon will also be added to
the atmosphere, gradually increasing to 8 to 10 kilometers in height and In
just a few weeks the entire world will be engulfed by it.
As a result, sunlight reaching the ground level will be
reduced by 20 to 35 percent, reducing the global surface temperature by 2 to 5
degrees Celsius. As a result, global rainfall will also decrease by 15 to 30
percent. At the local level, the effects can be far more severe and dangerous.
The devastating effects of the Pak-India nuclear war will
take 10 years, but the global catastrophe in this whole period may be
unimaginable to us today.
During this decade, drought will reduce agricultural,
especially food production, by 15 to 30 percent, while seafood (sea food) will
also decrease by 5 to 15 percent.
The malnutrition will lead to a global famine that will
cause millions more to die of hunger worldwide.
"The death toll from the Pak-India (nuclear war) will
be doubled in the world ... it will be a war in which there is no precedent in
human history," said Professor Dr. Owen B. Tone, who works at the
University of Colorado for the Laboratory for Atmospheric Endspace is
associated with physics, and is also the central researcher of this study.
This study uses the latest ground-based scientific models to
estimate the nature and magnitude of the environmental impact of the Pak-India
nuclear war.
However, there was no mention of the generational (genetic)
effects of radiation from nuclear explosions and the resulting outbreaks, which
could be far more devastating and deadly than the above-mentioned concerns.
It is also clear that in this scenario only the nuclear war
between the two countries is taken into account. However, if there is a nuclear
war in Pakistan and India this time around, there is a strong possibility that
other countries of the world will also be directly or indirectly part of it and
thus the Third World War will begin.
It is also possible that the ongoing conflicts in different
parts of the world will lead to further war.
In the circumstances it is so uncertain that the quality of
"anything can happen" is increasing.
Even in this article published in "Science
Advances", warning the entire world, experts have written that Pak-India
nuclear war will affect "every country" in this world.
