Warner and Finch Knock Down the Islander

 



Colombo: The Kangaroos have made a triumphant start to the Islander tour.

According to the details, Australia outclassed Sri Lanka in the first T20 and won by 10 wickets. The visiting team has taken a 1-0 lead in the three-match series.

The visitors won the toss and elected to bat first. The Sri Lankan batsmen could not cope with the fast bowling attack and were bowled out for 128 runs. While Danushka Ganathilaka scored 26 runs.

Josh Hazelwood took four wickets, Mitchell Starc three and Ken Richardson one for Australia.

In reply, Australian openers David Warner and Aaron Finch led the team to victory. Australia won the match by ten wickets in the 14th over without any loss, with David Warner scoring 70 and captain Aaron Finch 61. Unbeaten, Josh Hazelwood was named Player of the Match for his excellent bowling.
