The four-day Platinum Jubilee celebrations of the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II have begun.
The British Queen thanked all those who took part in the Platinum Jubilee celebrations on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of her accession to the throne.
Millions of people from around the world will attend the festivities starting June 2.

The festivities began with a military parade.
The Queen accompanied Prince Charles, Prince William and other members of the royal family to the balcony of Buckingham Palace, where they were greeted by cavalry.
Cannon salutes will be given during the festivities, and lighting will be provided at the Queen's Windsor Castle in the evening.
A Thanksgiving service will be held at a London church on June 3, a concert will be held at Buckingham Palace on June 4, and nationwide celebrations will be held on June 5.
Queen Elizabeth II became queen after her father's death in February 1952, but was officially crowned on June 2, 1952.
