The new treatment enables completely paralyzed people to walk

If the body is crippled or paralyzed due to an injury, the daily routine of life is severely affected, and man needs others for every small and big task. Efforts have been made for years to reactivate the paralyzed body, but now a cure has been discovered which has proved to be effective.

Scientists at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lucerne in Switzerland, after years of hard work, have discovered a treatment that enables three completely paralyzed people to walk.

It should be noted that these three persons had lost the electrical signals that move the lower torso after spinal cord and brain injury.

Neurologist Dr. Gregorcourtine and surgeon Jacqueline Bloch announced the treatment in 2018, but now they have improved it with the help of artificial intelligence software, which allows them to generate electrical activity in the cerebral cortex. Nerve signals began to fire.

Within hours of this therapy, the nervous system began to move, and all three were able to move their legs.

This new and amazing method of treatment involves the implantation of electrical implants in the area of the patient's cerebral cortex which controls the lower part of the body and keeps them moving, thus making the whole system of the body work which is a great achievement.

Another thing to note here is that the activity of the electrical implant in the back can be easily controlled through the tablet app, and by following these instructions the electric implant works.

Earlier, this type of electric current was used to treat pain by injecting it into the cerebellum, but now, thanks to this electric current, three paralyzed people have been able to walk completely. This patch constantly emits electrical signals and strengthens the paralyzed part of the patient.

For this purpose a new type of electrode was invented which affects all the nerves of the thighs and legs. Then the electrical activity is delivered as per the need of the patient, and thus it proved to be useful for all the three patients.

It should be noted that the three people who were rehabilitated with this treatment are 29 to 41 years old and their lower body, torso and legs were numb. However, they will soon be able to swim and cycle.
