An Indonesian crocodile that had been hovering around with a motorcycle tire around its neck for six years was finally released by animal lovers.
The crocodile, more than 13 feet tall, had the sympathy of some Palu residents who feared the tire might eventually choke it as its size grew over time but it was difficult to catch.
"I tried to catch the crocodile myself, I was asking the locals for help but they were scared," said Tally, a 35-year-old local resident.
He laid a basic net with a rope in which a rope was tied and used live chickens and ducks as food but the cunning crocodile managed to escape from his net on 2 occasions before being finally caught.
One day, however, the crocodile was caught in a trap and a motorcycle tire was pulled out of its throat. I was left out.
