In place of Mukesh Ambani, another Indian became the richest man in Asia

A lesser known Indian man has snatched the title of Asia's richest man from Mukesh Ambani.

Gautam Adani, who is associated with the coal mining sector, has become the richest man in Asia with assets worth $88.5 billion as a result of his efforts for environmentally friendly energy.

In one year, Gautam Adani's fortune increased by $12 billion and he became part of the list of the 10 richest people in the world.

Gautam Adani also dropped Mukesh Ambani and Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg from the list of 10 richest people who are now ranked 11th and 13th respectively.

Mark Zuckerberg lost $31 billion last week after admitting to a lack of users in the social network's quarterly report.

By the way, Gautam Adani is better known for his coal trade, but in recent years he has also been very active in green energy.

Shares of his company, Adani Green Energy, have nearly doubled in the last 12 months.

He also wants to make his company the world's largest eco-friendly company by 2030.

To this end, the company has also benefited from the initiatives of the Indian government which wants to reach the target of 500 gigawatts of energy from environmentally friendly sources instead of crude fuel by 2030.
