Another college in Karnataka did not allow female students to enter the college wearing hijab.
In India, under the campaign of Hindu extremists against hijab, hijab students were barred from entering another college in Karnataka and attending classes.
According to Indian media, the college principal himself stood at the gate of the college and instructed the hijab-wearing students to come to the college.
On the protest of the students, the college principal said that the students can take off their hijab and burqa and participate in the classes. Earlier, the principal of the same college had faced threats from Hindu extremists for allowing hijab students to take classes in the college.
The petition of Muslim students against the ban on wearing hijab in educational institutions is being heard in the Karnataka High Court.
Apart from Karnataka, there have been cases of students wearing hijabs in educational institutions in Madhya Pradesh and other areas.
