Discovery of a rare baby shark off the coast of New Zealand

Scientists in New Zealand have discovered a newborn baby of a rare species of shark off the coast.

According to the BBC, the discovered ghost shark is considered one of the fastest extinct marine life. And it was accidentally discovered by scientists at the National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research during a study off the coast of New Zealand's South Island.

The head of the team that discovered the rare shark, Dr. Bert Feniusi, says that the deep-sea ghost shark, also known as Shamira, is rarely found on shore and its newborn baby. It is very unusual to see the beach.

"This is an accidental discovery because we were underwater at the time for research into marine pollution," he said.

Scientists say that when we discovered this baby ghost shark, its stomach was full of egg yolk, which indicates that it was born recently.

Dr. Burt says that the characteristics of the offspring of the Ghost Shark are different from those of the adult fish, their diet, size, shape and way of life are different from that of their adults and with the help of this baby we learn about the Ghost Shark. It will help to get more information.
