British-born Pakistani boxer Aamir Khan hinted at considering retiring from the sport after suffering a major knockout defeat in the sixth round at the hands of Kyle Brook.
Aamir Khan, 35, was kept outclassed by compatriot Kyle Brook from start to finish of the game and he appeared to be in serious trouble during the fight before the referee came forward to save him from further beatings.
Kyle Brook competed against an opponent he had disliked for years because of his persistent refusal to fight, and as soon as he got the chance to fight, he defeated his opponent with both hands in a 149-pound weightlifting match at Manchester's AO Arena.

Kyle Brooke shrugged off being ridiculed with slogans by a large crowd in support of Aamir Khan and repeatedly left his enemy on staggering legs with countless head attacks.
Aamir Khan refused to bow despite the successive attacks of the opponent and remained perfectly straight but during this time he received some powerful punches which left scars on his face, after which referee Victor Lufflin gave 51 seconds in the sixth round.
Fighting for the place where he first won the world title in 2009, Aamir Khan showed only a glimpse of the form that made him the Unified Light Welterweight Champion more than a decade ago. Watan Kyle Brook became a claimant to the right to brag.
He said he hopes to spend more time with his family.
When Aamir Khan was asked about his possible retirement, he told reporters that it is definitely something to think about. I have always said that I never want boxing to make me retire, I want to retire from boxing.
"Sometimes boxing gets hit like this, I know I showed a big heart and tried some big shots but sometimes such shots can be detrimental to the future," he said.
Aamir Khan further said that I played more than I expected, maybe I reached the height of the game very soon, I participated in the Olympics at the time I was 17 years old, I won the world title at the age of 22 years. I'm 35 now, I've been in the ring for a long time, I'm getting older with the sport, I want to spend more time with my kids and my family.
Reacting to Aamir Khan's defeat at Kyle Brock, Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry said that he was looking forward to Aamir Khan's victory.
Sharing a video of the contest on social networking site Twitter, Fawad Chaudhry said that despite the defeat of Aamir Khan, it was a great contest.
