In the United States, a very special and very unique 'potato perfume' (potato perfume) has been introduced for Valentine's Day, which smells like fresh French fries.
This strange fragrance has been developed by the Idaho Potato Commission, the representative marketing board of potato growers there, with the aim of helping to improve the sales of potatoes grown in the US state of Idaho.
This fragrance is made by distilling fresh potatoes with the oil used in perfumery.
The perfume, dubbed "Freight by Idaho," was specially offered for Valentine's Day, with a limited number of bottles.
Each such bottle contained only 50 ml of perfume and was priced at US $1.89, which is not much.
The perfume went online for sale on February 7, but all the bottles were sold out in just a few minutes.
The Idaho Potato Commission then announced that all bottles of the perfume had been sold.
However, one bottle of this perfume will be given as a gift to ten selected users who have registered through the Instagram page @idahopotatoes.
Explain that the purpose of this 'potato perfume' was not to make money but to make the potatoes grown in Idaho world famous; and this goal has been well achieved!
